McLane Middleton, a leading New England-based law firm, is seeking an Environmental and Energy Attorney to join our team. Our Environmental and Energy groups include attorneys with over 150 years of collective experience.
We are seeking an Associate with 3 to 5 years of experience and a strong interest in Environmental and Energy law. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment, working closely with partners and clients on matters involving environmental permitting and compliance, environmental litigation, and the development and siting of energy projects.
The ideal candidate will also have had significant exposure to one or more of the following environmental and energy statutes: Clean Water Act, Clean Air Act, Compressive Environmental Response, Liability, and Compensation Act (CERCLA), Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA), Emergency Planning and the Community Right to Know Act (EPCRA), Federal Power Act (FPA), and/or National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).
We welcome dedicated self-starters who are eager to grow their careers and explore business development opportunities. Candidates may come from private practice or may be transitioning from a government or public interest role.
A hybrid work schedule combining in-office and remote work is available. Applicants must have strong academic credentials from an accredited law school, excellent analytical capabilities, experience reviewing and interpreting complicated statutory and regulatory provisions, outstanding communication and writing skills, and a commitment to exceptional client service.
