Brandywine Estate & Elder Law — West Chester, PA (satellite office in Lancaster)
Schedule: Full-time, Mon–Fri Hybrid after probation: alternating 3 in-office days one week / 2 the next
About the Role
Brandywine Estate & Elder Law is seeking a self-motivated, experienced Trusts & Estates Paralegal with a focus on Estate Administration to support our attorney and staff in a rapidly growing practice. This role blends paralegal and legal-secretarial responsibilities to keep matters moving efficiently from first client contact through final distribution and closing.
What You’ll Do
- Manage estate administration end-to-end under Pennsylvania rules and timelines.
- Prepare, file, and track all standard estate administration documents; maintain status reports, calendars, calls, and meetings.
- Review and audit client financial information; draft inheritance tax analyses.
- Prepare Pennsylvania inheritance tax returns; work proficiently in the Lackner Estate Administration program.
- Organize, scan, copy, and email documents promptly; maintain accurate electronic files.
- Assist with estate planning matters: schedule client meetings, gather asset data for re-titling, and enter data in case-management/drafting software.
- Take on special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned.
What You Bring
- 3–5 years of Trusts & Estates/Estate Administration experience in a Pennsylvania law firm.
- Degree from an accredited paralegal program, bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience.
- Proven integrity in fiduciary matters; meticulous attention to detail and follow-through.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a client-service mindset; clear, courteous communication.
- Proficiency with Lackner, inheritance tax return preparation, and common legal case-management/drafting tools.
Location & Schedule
- Primary office: West Chester, PA; satellite office in Lancaster, PA.
- Hybrid after a probationary period: typically 3 in-office days one week / 2 the next.
Compensation
- Salary and benefits commensurate with experience.
