<p>The Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery at NYU Langone Health is seeking an<br>experienced adult cardiac surgeon to join our team at NYU Langone Hospital&mdash;Brooklyn.</p><p>NYU Langone Health is renowned for exceptional patient care, cutting-edge research, and<br>innovative medical practices, ranked #1 in the nation in Cardiology, Heart &amp; Vascular<br>Surgery.</p><p><br>The NYU Langone Hospital-Brooklyn Cardiac Surgery program started in 2025 as an<br>expansion of NYU Langone Heart services into the borough. The ideal candidate in this<br>junior attending role will be driven and dedicated to continuing the growth of the service<br>under the guidance of the NYU Brooklyn Chief of Cardiac Surgery. This position focuses on<br>delivering high-quality, comprehensive cardiac surgical care for adult patients in a<br>dynamic, team-based environment. The role includes participation in multidisciplinary<br>heart team conferences, quality improvement initiatives, and the education of residents,<br>fellows, and medical students. As part of an integrated academic health system, there may<br>be opportunities to collaborate across NYU Langone locations. This academic<br>appointment provides opportunities for professional growth and advancement through<br>NYU Grossman School of Medicine.</p><p><br><strong>Responsibilities include:</strong></p><ul><li>Performing the full spectrum of open adult cardiac surgery, including CABG, valve<br>repair/replacement, and aortic procedures</li><li>Participating in perioperative management and multidisciplinary heart team<br>decision-making</li><li>Engaging in education, quality, and programmatic development activities within the<br>department</li><li>Optional involvement in research and academic initiatives aligned with<br>departmental goals</li></ul><p><strong>Qualified candidates:</strong></p><ul><li>Board Eligible/Board Certified in Thoracic Surgery (ABTS) with a focus on adult<br>cardiac surgery</li><li>2&ndash;4+ years of post-training experience preferred</li><li>Demonstrated experience with CABG, valve repair/replacement, and aortic surgery</li><li>Experience with structural heart procedures (e.g., TAVR) preferred</li><li>Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills</li><li>Eligibility for New York State medical licensure</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong> Able to start within 6 months</p><p><strong>Application instructions:</strong></p><p>Applications should include a curriculum vitae and a narrative discussing areas of clinical<br>work, research, education, administration, and leadership as well as three references.<br>Please send all materials electronically for confidential review to: Anisha Chadda, Director<br>of Hospital Operational Strategy &amp; Innovation, at <a href="mailto:Anisha.chadda@nyulangone.org">Anisha.chadda@nyulangone.org</a>.</p><p><br>NYU Langone Health is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer committed to<br>diversity and inclusion in all aspects of recruiting and employment.
