Monte Vista Grove Homes is a vibrant senior community that serves approximately 100 residents in Independent Living and 60 in 3 levels of assisted living, traditional, memory care, and advanced. There is a strong Christian presence among residents and staff which creates a special environment in which to live and work.
Company History
Monte Vista Grove Homes was founded in 1924 by the Presbyterian Church in response to the vision of James Marwick (founder of Peat Marwick, now known as KPMG). Mr. Marwick engaged the support of high profile Pasadena locals such as the Gamble family (Proctor & Gamble) and Mary Stewart (married to the founder of Union Oil).
Originally a 13.5 acre orange grove with 2 structures, it has grown into a beautifully landscaped retreat with 85 buildings, providing housing and services for older adults.
